As founder of GNAX, Jeff heads one of the largest providers of on-demand IT infrastructures in the world. He took the company to its current position after the strategic acquisition of NetDepot in 2001. Since then, Jeff has grown the company to the point where it now houses in excess of 6,000 servers providing co-location, network, storage and cloud computing services. Jeff leads the strategic direction of the company as well as its daily operations.
Before GNAX, Jeff created the network consulting practice at SunData (what is today Presdio Network Solutions) which helped the company earn its Gold Partner status with Cisco Systems. His responsibilities there included overseeing all areas of design and delivery of advance networks. He helped Presido become the largest Cisco integrator in the Southeast. Before that, Jeff led the networking solutions group at Universal Data Consultants/GE Capital ITS as the Director of Network Solutions. It was there he designed, implemented and delivered networks in diverse operating environments and interfaced them with all major corporate systems.
Jeff earned his B.S. in Operations Management from Auburn University and an MBA from St. Mary's College in California. Further education includes training and certifications in Cisco networking, security, Microsoft and data center operations, power systems and cooling systems.
Mariano's responsibilities at GNAX include helping establish and execute the company's technology direction within the cloud computing marketplace. In addition to managing strategic partnerships, he works with internal teams to ensure alignment and delivery of innovative cloud computing products and services.
Before joining GNAX, Mariano led a team responsible for the creation of the Enterprise Virtualization Platform for The Home Depot. He guided the platform development process from strategy through adoption in lab tests, then to full implementation in tens of thousands of virtual machines. The environment encompassed two large corporate data centers and more than 2,000 remote locations.
With over 20 years of experience managing multi-platform mission critical systems and geographically dispersed teams, Mariano has held technical, operational and leadership positions at companies including The Home Depot, BellSouth, CTI Movil (a Verizon subsidiary in South America) and a regional Hewlett-Packard Partner.
Mariano holds a Certificate in Management from Emory University as well as Six Sigma and ITIL Certifications. He also contributes time and expertise to organizations such as the worldwide VMware Users Group (VMUG), LISTA (Latinos in Information Sciences and Technologies Association) and several advisory councils. Additionally, he is a three-time recipient of the VMware vExpert Award.
Janakan's duties at GNAX include architecting and launching new cloud computing products and solutions, including internal and customer facing applications, healthcare related software, and managed healthcare application delivery. As such, he is responsible for specifying product requirements and the creation of market and competitive assessments. He has full-product life cycle ownership in the areas of VMware-based public/private cloud solutions, cloud storage and other related offerings.
Prior to joining GNAX, Janakan was Director of IT for INVeSHARE, a financial services company funded by Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and GiloVentures. Having served for more than 11 years in the industry, his IT management experience includes global Fortune companies such as AREVA and Caterpillar.
Janakan holds a Master of Science in Telecommunications Management from State University of New York Institute of Technology, and a Bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Arulmigu Kalasalingam College of Engineering, India.
George leads all sales and business development efforts for GNAX, focusing on the healthcare industry where quality and integrity drive positive customer experiences. With over 20 years of experience exclusive to the healthcare technology industry, George understands GNAX's healthcare clients intimately. His responsibilities include managing the sales team, leading complex, enterprise solution engagements and developing and delivering clear value propositions for clients that help them understand the robust ROI that can be achieved with GNAX solutions.
Prior to joining GNAX, George built and led several different healthcare technology sales teams at McKesson. He managed programs with over $200 million in sales across a wide range of solutions covering Core Clinicals, financial systems, medical imaging, cardiology, document imaging, enterprise intelligence reporting, surgery, lab, workforce management, revenue cycle management and scheduling. Prior to McKesson, George played an intricate role in the growth of IMNET, a start-up focused on Health Information Management solutions that was bought by HBOC. George took a leading sales role at HBOC as well, the largest healthcare software provider at the time that was eventually acquired by McKesson.
George is a University of South Carolina alum who loves to spend his spare time cutting across the water on his sailboat or playing tennis.
William's duties at GNAX include oversight of the deployment and delivery of the company's technology services. William also manages the service architecture, R&D and technical operations, encompassing our engineering team.
Before joining GNAX, William was Head of Enterprise Virtualization at Healthport, the healthcare industry's largest provider of health information and audit management technology. William also brings with him more than 15 years of experience architecting and managing the implementation of data technology solutions for companies such as Maersk-Sealand, The Atlanta Motor Speedway, Georgia Tech University, Marten Transport, Ryder Transportation Systems, Berry College and SITA (Aero).
Having studied engineering at the University of Arkansas, Souder holds a BS in Computer Information Systems from DeVry. He is also a Fellow, Technology Innovation and Global Leadership from the MIT Sloan School of Management. William holds advanced certifications from VMware, HP, Microsoft and EMC. Additionally, he is the co-chair of the Atlanta VMware User Group since 2008, and a VMware vExpert.
Chip is responsible for the critical day-to-day operations of our Data Centers. Chip oversees the inner-workings of the data center infrastructure, ensuring the electrical, HVAC and technical systems as well as the overall building structure of the facilities are running smoothly.
Before joining GNAX, Chip spent more than 20 years helping keep Emory University's data systems running smoothly. His areas of responsibility included Storage Management, Mainframe Systems Support and running Data Center Operations. Chip not only helped plan and design the layout of the university's current data center, he also managed the moves of Emory University and Emory Healthcare into their current facilities. Additionally, he was the architect, and oversaw installation of Emory's EMC disk storage infrastructure.
Chip holds a Bachelors Degree from LaGrange College where he majored in Computer Science and minored in Business Administration.
Matt's duties include the development and execution of company marketing strategies. These responsibilities demand a full understanding of the GNAX customer, the global development of the GNAX brand, and the need to consistently communicate the value of company's products and services.
Before GNAX, Matt was Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for ViaCube, an innovative consumer cloud computing firm where he developed the strategy for, and execution of, the company's go-to-market plan. Prior to ViaCube, Matt served as the Director of Marketing for AmeriSave, one of the nation's largest online mortgage companies.
Matt earned his MBA from Georgia State University and his Marketing and English undergraduate degrees from Mississippi State University.
Erik Joined Global Net Access in 2003. As controller, Erik is responsible for all aspects of the company's accounting and financial reporting as well as establishing financial policies and procedures. In addition, Erik overseas the human resource and administrative functions of Global Net Access. Under his guidance, GNAX has grown from a few-person operation to a company not just employing world-class individuals and world-class infrastructure, but also providing world-class benefits.
Prior to joining GNAX, Erik worked as a Senior Financial Analyst for Interland, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. He is no stranger to managing rapid growth, having been involved with Interland pre IPO, as a public company and through many acquisitions.
Erik holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance from Georgia Southern University and is completing his Masters in Accounting at Georgia State University with an expected completion date of 2012.
